Account Record Type Changes Are Not Syncing To Marketo

In salesforce we changed our account record types. Previously we had 4 Account Record types,  which were accurately populating in Marketo. Then we consolidated

two of them so now there are only two account record types in salesforce.  However, this change is not syncing over

to marketo. Is there something we need to do to have the account record types in Marketo match the

changes we made in Salesforce?

Here's an example:

In salesforce an account will have the record type= "client direct" ( this is the new change) In Marketo the account record type is still the old record type which is "publisher"

HI Alexis,

If you have changed the record types definition or names, it means that you may have not updated the account, just changed some formula values.

Go to the account in SFDC, just click on edit and save and wait 5 minutes, the go to Marketo.

Thank you @Grégoire Michel

We updated the account record type on 40K records in Salesforce. Is there a way to mass update the account?

The best way is to create a field in SFDC (call it "force update"). Then you use data loader or a tool like this one : Enabler4Excel

You just set a value (any value) in this field and you update the accounts, only updating this field.

Just a note - make sure your API limit in SFDC can handle the quantity of records that will need to sync and that Marketo itself can handle the volume without creating any delays in the sync. Open a ticket with support to make sure, or break it up in two or more chunks.
