A few questions about Sales Insight

1. Can you install sales insight in the contacts field in SF?
2. Can you e-mail multiple recipients (using a token maybe?) without them knowing other people were e-mailed?
3. When you send an e-mail, is the sender the SF user who sends it?

To answer your questions:

1. Yes, just make sure that sales insight appears on the contact view/layout in SFDC
2. This would potentially be something to test, but I'm most comfortable with doing single-person sends, and recommend that our users do the same thing.
3. Yes, the sender information goes back to the SFDC user who sent the email. If you want to have an email go from someone else, you can use request campaigns that trigger an email send from Marketo that references someone else's send information.

#2 - yes. MSI will send the email from the Lead Owner in SFDC just like it would a mass email. The other leads will not be BCCd or CCd at all.

To add on to Josh's answer for #2 - to send a MSI email to multiple leads/contacts at once, you would do this from a lead or contact view (not from the main MSI dashboard).

In the view you would select all of your prospective recipients and click the "Send Marketo Email" button at the top of the list.  And tokens should work the same via MSI as they do when incorporating them in an email send via the main platform.

Where do I find this lead or contact view?  I know how to see lists of leads and contacts and how to select multiple leads and contacts, but I can't find the button that says "send marketo email"

Hi Isabela,

The lead and contact views are found from the main lead or contact layout screen in SFDC.  When you first click into the lead tab, for example, you should see this dropdown menu toward the top of your screen:



From here you can create custom views, which are basically segmented lists of leads based on criteria you would specify while creating the view.  When using one of these lists you can select multiple records at once and add them to a Marketo email.

No, it's all there for you.  

See the row that has: "Bela Test" in the dropdown followed by Edit | Delete | Create New View links to the right?

You can either click to create a new view or select an existing one from the menu and you'll get additional options

I created a custom view but I can't find the button that says "send marketo email"

never mind i figured it out, i had to go into set up and lead search layouts to add the button. thanks for your help
