Hello,

We are currently doing A/B testing and are trying to determine if A/B emails are treated as 1 deployment or 2 in marketo?

HI @cristinagriffin ,

In what context are you asking?

A/B test emails are part of each other but treated as 2 different mail & in the test scenario NO lead will receive both variants in a given test cycle.

Hope this helps 😊

@cristinagriffin, we might need more details here (specially, what do you mean by deployment?), but in general to answer your question, in Marketo, A/B test emails are treated as a single deployment (you approve a single email program)—additionally, only one version (the winner or a test sample) is sent to each person, and the system tracks the test as part of one email program. So for reporting, engagement, and limits (like communication limits), it counts as one send per person, not two.
