A/B Testing Via Google Experiments or other methods

We want to continue to use Google Experiments to run a/b tests with our marketing landing pages and embed forms (on non-marketing pages) but I don't see to get it working:
1. non-marketo landing pages (embedded forms) are tagged via URL Builder (for media group, sub media group, region, etc.)

2. Landing page (original) has google experiment tag

3. All pages have the correct code

I only see sessions in Google Analytics but I don't see any conversions (although it's recorded in salesforce)

4. Is Google experiment the right tool to use for A/B tests or should I use marketo's  tool? If so, how do I set that up?

Use Optimizely if you want complex statistics.

Running a test, I'm getting this error with Google Analytics:
To check and display pages in Google Analytics Experiments, we add the URL parameter utm_expid to original and variation pages. It seems that your web server won't accept this URL parameter. Change your server to accept parameters
