301 Redirect uploaded pdf/file urls

We need the functionality to redirect uploaded file urls to new urls. This is currently not supported by the redirect admin interface and should be. We do not want to upload an updated version of the pdf due to a branding change, however we'd like to redirect users who have bookmarked or shared old file urls to a new location with the newest, most relevant content for them to create a better user experience.
