1 of 2 field required but registrant chooses which to fill out.

does anyone know if there is a way to have 2 fields on a form  but only 1 or the other  is required?  Basically they must fill out 1 or the other but they don't have to do both-- so i can't make both required.

so need some type of either or functionality.

You can probably do this with java script - we use it to validate / format fields on our forms.
