Hello Marketo Community Members, I'm reaching out in hopes of finding some guidance on an issue we're encountering with our Lead Routing process in Marketo.We have set up smart campaigns within our Marketo instance for 'Net New Leads' and 'Existing Leads.' However, I've noticed that some leads are being processed by both campaigns consecutively. This is resulting in duplicate notifications to our BDRs and occasionally causing the lead owner to change in SFDC.To address this, I implemented a rule to add leads from the 'Net New Leads' campaign to a list, intending to use this list as a filter in the 'Existing Leads' program. Unfortunately, this solution isn't working as expected.Does anyone have any suggestions or best practices on how we can resolve this issue? Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated to streamline our lead routing and ensure a smooth workflow.Thank you in advance for your help!Best regards,  

If I have an actively used Channel and wanted to rename some of the Channel/Progression Statuses, would that cause any issues?The values would still mean the same as the original but would like to rename to have clearer progression status labels.We do have trigger campaigns setup looking at if program status is changed so wanted to better understand if we renamed some of the statuses, 1) would the trigger campaign inherit the new name and 2) would people with the legacy status re-trigger the campaign because their status would be changed to the new renamed version?

Hi We currently have our main contact form linked into Marketo so any new form completions are automatically uploaded as an MQL and synched to CRM.  This has been working fine for new contacts and the team have been qualifying/disqualifying etc.  Yesterday we came across an issue where we have an existing contact and the sync is failing as the person is already in the system.   Is there a way of creating a new lead for an existing contact so this works? At the moment looking at our syncs it seems it doesn't happen if the person was created as a lead/contact in CRM.  Is this because it's something that can't be done?

We are getting ready to rollout MSI at our company.  We just installed in our production Salesforce environment are testing before we make it available to the larger user base.  I created an email in Marketo, checked the Publish to Sales Insight option and approved.  When I go to a contact in Salesforce and click the Send Marketo Email button, when I get to the editor the email is not available.  Am I missing a step?

Hello all, here with a (probably) basic question. We just migrated from Eloqua to Marketo and are having issues validating a few templates. Why would we get the error message "A mkto element is nested inside another"? 

A recent project required mass bulk data updates between Dynamics and Marketo. The large amount of updates were expected to cause backlogs and disrupt the production environment integration. In exploring ways to mitigate the effects, we consulted with Adobe Marketo Support.   We also referenced this excellent post on Marketo / Salesforce Sync Limits & Priority Info, but found that several processes work differently in the Dynamics sync. In this post I will share a few findings.   Unlike the Salesforce-Marketo sync, the Dynamics sync works on a first in, first out (FIFO) basis. Updates in the Dynamics sync do not batch by entity – they will be made in the order in which they occurred, based on the system mod timestamp. Hello,We have a client who uses around 25 to 30 partitions in Marketo, we need to identify duplicates in different partitions. For example, we need to create a smart list which will help us identify duplicate records/ members in partition 1 and partition 2. We have a workspace which has access to all the partitions and tried creating below smart lists:1. Hi guys,I'm trying to create a flow that is triggered after the change of on data field to "true" after filling out a certain form.so far I've tried "Trigger:Data value changes (new value is true) and Trigger: Fills out form (for  is blah blah)".But after testing it seems to be completing the flow action for anyone who has filled out the from introspective of if the fields new value is true. I've also tried was to have a trigger:data value changes (new value true) and filled out form (with constraint= with 1 minute), but that too doesn't seem to be working - and isn't ideal as we potentially have people fill out an inquire form and update their preference centre (data value change) which aren't related.Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Dale

Hi Community Friends, It seems I'm unintentionally continuing my Friday questions (to be fair, it's likely because this is my close-out day of the week so I catch up on all the things that have come across my desk throughout the days prior 😋).  We recently implemented Email on Acid because we didn't have a pre-deployment tool and wanted to make sure that our emails were accessible, compatible across multiple browsers/email clients, and not slowing delivery/load times. I've used the tool in a prior company and loved it's ease of use to copy HTML into the tool, run testing, and then copy it back into Marketo, so I recommended it for my team now. However, I'm currently experiencing an issue where, when I copy the code back into Marketo, all the variables are eliminated and Marketo, therefore, cannot update the email. Here are the steps I take/am seeing: Selected "Download HTML" from the email I wanted to testPasted it into EoA and ran all my test

Is it possible to remove line breaks from within a Text field using a Flow step?We are using a Text field in a webhook call, and getting a BadRequest error when the field has line breaks and does not adhere to JSON string format.

Hi All, we're facing a very weird and inconsistent behaviour with Marketo hidden fields in regards of capturing the data. Issue started few months back, when we implemented capturing the UTM values as cookies on our website. We created hidden fields in Marketo to track those cookie values and store in Marketo. It was working with a hit or miss. Then we reached out to Marketo and they said, your UTM cookies set after the user cookie consent and till the time marketo form is already loaded and that's why it's not capturing the cookie values in these kind of cases. To overcome this issue, now I check if user has accepted the cookie consent or not, as  soon as consent is accepted, I am firing a event on site, which then loads the marketo form using Form API addHiddenFields method and already populating the hidden fields values by code itself like this:form.addHiddenFields(utmValues)If user doesn't accept the cookie consent, I am loading the marketo form without tha

A customer of ours recently bought another company, and needs to migrate data from that company's Marketo org to another one. They're hopeful that they'll be able to migrate activity data and pointed me to this blog post from the Marketo Consulting team: https://nation.marketo.com/t5/employee-blogs/marketo-to-marketo-migrations-scripting/ba-p/330616I'm not able to find a REST API endpoint that would create standard activities (like Fill Out Form, Send Email, etc.). I can think of many reasons why it would be a mistake for Marketo to even try to make such an endpoint available.I suspect that consulting offering inserts custom activity types, which would not qualify for standard smart list filters like "Filled Out Form", "Clicked Link in Email", etc. So useful data to bring in but not as easy to leverage in their operations as they might hope. Is someone from Marketo able to verify this?

Hi, When I am saving this email template and want to make the FROM and FROM ADDRESSS to default test@test.com and after that I save that template and approve it. And create a new email in Marketing activities and hence it shows me the user details in  FROM and FROM ADRESSS instead of the default details that i saved as template. Can't we change this and make the default for every template instead of fetching user information in the FROM and FROM-address fields in email template? Thanks

Hey all, quick question for those of you who use SimpleDTO as a pre-fill option.Does SimpleDTO support the pre-fill of checkbox or checkboxes fields? I am using the latest version (SimpleDTO 2.0), and I have successfully made the connection. I can see the first name, last name and email field pre-filling on the forms no problem. However, if used on a Form such as one that stores users communication preferences, I see the checkboxes present on the form are not checked off despite being checked on the lead within the database. Is this something that is possible to pre-fill those checkboxes with SimpleDTO? Hi All - I am trying to establish global content download forms hosted on our website however, each download is a different piece of content.  So I thought the next best thing was to build a global TY page however, I am not quite sure how to set it up where each submission goes to the right content.  How is this best achieved?  Please help.  The one workaround I can see is cloning the global form for each asset and the direct after submission goes to the PDF.  Is this the only option?  I would love to know how to build one global form but set up the follow up page based on the asset type.   Any recommendations are welcomed.
