Hello! Does anybody know why the Marketo LP Editor tells me that I need Conversational Flows... ... although Conversational Flows are obviously set up in my instance?  Thanks!Michael

Hello, I am using velocity script to set a link based on lead language, I have a series of 12 if/then statements. The velocity script is working fine during previews in marketo, but when sending tests to my email, the link breaks. How should I format the output, so the link does does not break? We have/want to use a tags on the email side instead of the velocity side for formatting' the reason is we use the token in multiple places in the email with different styling. What is the exact format I need to print my token via velocity script so the link does not break when sending emails? 

Hello There, This is my first post. I hope I have explained the issue well. Suppose I have 3 Salesforce Accounts (1,2,3) and these accounts have the same records (with the same email IDs) but with different Membership Tiers ( let's say A, B, C). Now from Marketo, we are triggering different emails based on Membership Tier for form fill-out.The issue I ran into was when a record from 1st account record having a Membership Tier A was doing a form-fill activity it can be seen in the same record activity log. Now if the 2nd account record having a Membership Tier B does a form fill activity it has been updated into 1st account records only. Is there any way in Marketo we can track the activity of each record differently? Any help is appreciated! Thanks Firoz

HiI have added a select field to my form, and I created a custom field in the database to record the information to.The selection is for the customer to choose a session date/time for an event.I want the recorded info to be passed via a token to an alert email and a thank you for registering email. The database field type is text, but the selection isn't recording in the database, and therefore not being passed to the emails.Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?Here is the form link: https://visit.altro.com/adhesive-free-roadshow.htmlThanks

IssueDoes Marketo re-use or recycle old deleted lead IDs?  Root CauseAfter a lead is fully deleted, it would be very rare for the lead ID to be re-used. The vast majority of the time lead IDs are unique and not re-used.If you have an external database or reporting system that relies on a unique lead ID, the best practice would be to ensure these systems are up-to-date on all lead deletions.

IssueYou receive the error message of "exceeded limit" for Program Member Custom Fields (the documented limit is 20), but you don't see 20 fields listed in the Admin > Field Management > Program Program Member Info area.  Root CauseThere may be Program Member Custom Fields in your Marketo instance that are hidden. These hidden fields still count toward your limit of 20. As next steps, in Admin > Field Management, review the Hidden Fields area to find the hidden Program Member Custom Fields, and un-hide them. After un-hiding them, they will appear under Admin > Field Management > Program Program Member Info.To resolve the "exceeded limit" error, unused fields should be deleted. Reach out to Marketo Support to delete Program Member Custom Fields.

IssueAn email asset with a program MyToken is not reflecting correctly after a campaign send, even though the email asset is within a program with the correct token value. Root CauseIf the smart campaign that sent the email is in a different program, the MyToken reference will come from the program of the sending smart campaign, not the program where the email lives.

IssueThe SFDC sync error "Unable to process due to no XML response from Salesforce" or "No XML Document Error" appears. Root CauseThis error means Marketo received an invalid XML response returned by SFDC. Most often, this is a transient error from SFDC and resolves on its own in the next sync cycles. If the error persists or is continually blocking your sync, please reach out to Marketo Support.

IssueLeads are stuck in a smart campaign's Wait Step and have not moved onto next steps, even though the Wait Step has been updated/shortened and the lead should move onto the next step. SolutionWhen a lead enters a Wait Step, it remains in the Wait Step as defined at the moment they entered it. For example, if the lead enters a 1 week Wait Step, it will remain in the step for 1 week.If the Wait Step is updated to be longer or shorter (for example, shortened to 3 days or extended to 2 weeks), the lead that already entered the Wait Step (when it was 1 week) will remain in the Wait Step for the original duration.New leads entering the Wait Step will abide by the new duration.

Is there a way to see the difference between one-click-unsubscribes vs list unsubscribes / unsubscribes report wise in Marketo? 

I have a form with a checkbox field that appears when a certain country is selected from a dropdown field above. This checkbox field works fine and appears as it should, until I try to edit the text value of the checkbox. It appears to accept the edit in the editing panel, but when I preview the form or activate the form on a landing page, the checkbox no longer appears when the country is selected. The field below it SHIFTS down though, as if making room for that checkbox. This leads me to believe the checkbox is "there" in a sense, but not visible. Why is this happening and can it be solved so I can edit the form? 

Hello Community,is there a way to create a report that will show duration times (or average duration) between the time that the person has entered Marketo database and the time when they reached a certain score threshold (i.e. 60 points) or their status changed to MQL/Marketing Review?FYI, we are not using Revenue Cycle Modeler, and we are not time stamping the above fields/activities. Additionally, it would be great to have these periods/averages segmented - i.e. average duration per vertical / function / position.Any ideas?

I am working on a nurture, but we want to remove people from the flow when they submit a form. Unfortunately the form is outside of Marketo, so I want to remove them once they are marked with a specific campaign status in Salesforce. Again, this presents a problem as the Remove From Flow options do not allow for a second constraint on a Choice. So my solution was to create one Smart Campaign for each email send, but I want them to flow from 1 > 2 > 3. How can I achieve that within the Smart Campaign?

Hi there, I'm trying to send alert to account owner, whenever anyone from @sampledomain.com visited our site.I have domain fields created on lead/contact object in SFDC (syncing to marketo). I also have opt-in boxes on contact object for account owners to check off to indicate they want that alert.  My only problem is how do I use this domain field check against my entire marketo database to create a smart list. or even use it to enrol people into a program.

By default, the unique identifier is the SFDC ID, which leads to duplicate entries in Marketo. Is it possible to switch the unique identifier to the email address instead of the SFDC ID?Could you please advise on this matter?Thanks!

Hi there,I am currently encountering a problem while trying to fetch a field value from a custom object to use it in an email. Specifically, I am retrieving a string from the custom object to use as the value of a query parameter in the URL within the email. Please refer to the VTL code below and the attached screenshot of the email. ISSUE can be noticed at the bottom left of the screenshot. I have already verified the value in the custom object and confirmed that there are no spaces included.NOTE - I checked the value in CO, if that is having the spaces included but answer is NO. Hello,Brand new user to Marketo and in the process of setting up our instance. Im developing a Governance document for all facets of the program. I was wondering how people structure their folders that have solutions (B2B here) that operate in different segments. Do you combine all your campaigns for products within the same marketing activity folder or would you separate out? We have internal segments called Value Streams, and our different products sit in those streams. Sent an email campaign last week. Here's the number of clicks as reported on the dashboard: But the email link performance report reads:Yes, I get that the first bolded number (299) is supposed to be total link clicks where as the second number (233) is invidual people that clicked. So where does 193, as reported in the Dashboard number, even come from?

Hi,I'm looking at options to send an alert possibly to admin when the database count reaches a certain limit. We will need to monitor the count regularly and if we have an alert it will avoid the manual efforts of someone checking the count daily. Any ideas?
