Adobe Marketo Engage

Today, while Marketo has the ability to group a Revenue Model's stages into phases, there is no way to access this data outside of the Marketo UI itself. As a Marketo integration developer, I would like to see the phase a Revenue Stage is grouped into via the API in some way, shape, or form.   The most straightforward way to handle this would be to add additional response parameters to Change Revenue Stage activities to include "Old Stage Phase" and "New Stage Phase", but a metadata call to show how the Model is set up would work equally well.

Say, I want to filter the high performing Named Accounts in the past month or in the last week, but this is tough to achieve in TAM.  I believe there should be a Time Frame filter to identify the accounts in a specific date range. Please refer to the screenshot:      

I hope I'm not the only one that is having this issue, or at least is similarly frustrated.   The current state of the search system of design studio is extremely flawed. It took me about 10 minutes to find the document I needed in my instance due to the change of the search from "contains" to "starts with." It got to the point that I may as well went through my 10 pages of documents in the specific folder to just find the file because it would have been faster. No other search system does has "starts with" for a search. Also, trying to find all the pdfs that talk about similar things is non existent (i.e. I want to see all pdfs that mention "UX" in the title).   This, in my opinion, is a bad user experience. The new marketo UI is powerful, and overall very awesome, but I shouldn't have to switch to vanilla Marketo to search for a pdf.  

Hi,  Is it possible to enable multiple selections for folders, assets, and reports,...? It'd be beneficial when cleaning up the instance, for instance, to move or delete several assets simultaneously.  Thanks, Charlotte

Hi Team,   While exploring and testing TAM, I found that: We cannot customize the weekly reports We cannot subscribe to Account smart lists I believe it would be great if we can customize the weekly reports (if not much, at least to some extent) and set up subscriptions for account smart lists as well.    Kind Regards, Vinay  

It would be very efficient to be able to change the name/label of a field that's in use in Marketo without first removing it from use. This would help create less fields and be scalable/save time when changing the field.    Even a better option,  if a field is created in SFDC and exposed to Marketo and the name/label is changed in SFDC, to reflect the field name change in Marketo automatically.   Vote up for both or either of these ideas!

Hi all,   it would be great to enhance the Delete Custom Object API endpoint by the possibility to delete multiple records with one call* by e.g. allowing createdAt, UpdatedAt and individual dedupe fields as criteria.   Examples: Delete all custom object records created on 1/1/2020 Delete all custom object records where dedupe field "ABC" = "XYZ"   Kind regards, Thorsten   * other than IDs or _all_ dedupe fields... 

Throwing out an idea that might assist with ADA compliance. We have a company that scans our website for ADA compliance and one of the items brought up is that browser-based AutoComplete (such as through Chrome, etc) does not function properly. It's probably possible to do this through external JavaScript or code, but it seems like something that should be built-in due to ADA needs.

Sometimes, we need to discard usage of a field. This means first removing all usage of the field, before being able to hide it.It would be very useful if we were able to export, for a given field, all assets where the field is used by with asset name and asset Marketo URL. The time saving would be huge!-Greg

Hi,Hopefully there is value in this suggestion. I find that in certain filters in Marketo there is information displayed when you mouse-over (eg. on the Wait filter in the flow).  Screenshot below. In other filters, where I am selecting either emails, lists / smart lists, smart campaigns etc, if the naming convention exceeds the length of the text box it is un-viewable. I would find great use in having a tooltip of sorts that will display the selection when you mouseover.   I do know that if there are multiple selections made this is current functionality, it does not seem to work when there is just one selection.    

We need to iframe some of our Marketo landing pages into a platform on a different domain, but are unable to because the X-Frame-Options only have DENY or SAMEORIGIN values. I suggest opening this up to specify ALLOW FROM to allow us to specify the domains where we can allow iframing.

Complementary to , we also need tags and channels to be leveraged in the "Program Status is Changed" trigger.-Greg

If I code a script to reference an object fields, I still need to "check the right pane", but I don't want to have to synchronize the "coding" with the "checkbox in the right pane".What is the purpose of synchronizing "coding" and "checkboxes in the right pane"?   We believe that having two settings has the detrimental effect of causing a divergence between the two settings, which in turn leads to unintended behavior.I don't think checkboxes are necessary because the fields to be referenced are coded in the first place.We would like to see this changed so that it works only by coding.

Hi,   For a while now, I'm struggling with the fact that when I collect data into Custom Object, I can't tokenize it to pass to CRM in any easy way.   If I could use logic in a filter pointing out to CDO and field in it that should be passed into let's say, an Interesting moment and/or notes field we would have so much more control over our engagement information from Webinars and other integrations.   Eloqua allows something like that with the usage of forms. CDO connects to a form and I have a choice to pass that data to another field (like comments) if I wish. 

Hi, I did an A/B test for this email campaign : It would be a good option if we could be able to see on the program dashboard the performance of the winner email because for the moment, it is not possible to see the global performance of the winner email. Thanks Best regards 

Why does product from company that owns Photoshop and other creators' tools look like copy and paste from 2000 Windows XP era? Why does a product that is paid a big money for not kept on par with competing marketing platforms? It does not even follow the same UI language as the Marketo / Adobe site. This has to change.

We are struggling with finding a good way to create additive scoring (especially in instances where we are making fixes to behavior scoring). With our primary MQL/Scoring logic all housed within Marketo, it seems inconsiderate to expect users to rely on webhooks or CRMs to process a simple addition to a very common Marketing Ops function (Behavior Score + Demographic Score = Person Score). When API limitations are already a day to day constraint as our business grows, relying on webhooks or the CRM for this simple action feels like a significant product oversight. For context, Scoring is a HIGH priority in bridging the gap between Marketing and Sales. This is a significant enough pain point (among others) that make it hard for Marketo to scale with us as our business grows, which is pretty unfortunate.    I'm sure there have been previous requests for this, but since nothing has moved in this area of functionality, posting again for visibility to the Product Team as a fo

We have licensed a dedicated IP address which is used for sending out mails from Marketo Engage to customers and leads. We would like to create an unsuscribe address under our own dedicated IP address to have just one IP address for different services. To only way to do this is by updating the branding domains which would update the domain for all emails. However, we would like to update just the unsubscribe address which is currently not supported.

Currently the download html feature only gives you the code for the default version of the email. You can preview and inspect the rendered dynamic segment code in the preview frame, but you can't easily convert this to a file for sharing, editing or archiving. 

Allow us to have visibility on "email code" while emails are in dynamic segmentation. This will allow us to work with our 3rd party email platforms such as taxi for email. Currently, we are unable to view/edit email code when email is using dynamic segmentation, in order to make changes to email or view/edit code we have to remove all dynamic email segmentation (dynamic > static) which slows down our email build SLA. Enable the ability to "Clone to same folder" when cloning programs, assets, etc. This will save TONS of time.   Current state, you need to copy the name of the same folder existing asset is in to ensure new asset saves in same folder. This is time consuming and unnecessarily difficult

One of the question I get the most often when training Marketo customers is how can create fields that are attached to leads only in the context of a program. An example of this is sending invites for an event and ask for preferences in a field on the form, such as which track they will want to follow, what timeframe they would want to come, etc...For a few quarters now, SFDC has offered the possibility to add custom campaign member fields. This idea would be to enable programs in Marketo to support similar custom member fields, but also some standard campaign member fields that are not currently mapped, such as the member status date.Creation of the program member fieldsThe program member fields would be created automatically from the synchronization of salesforce campaign member standard and custom fields, as for any other field we sync. As with other SFDC fields, the "self healing" schema capability would be required.It should also be possible to create such fields directly in the M

I was so excited when PMCFs were launched, but it doesn't seem they've been shown much love since launch. I know its been mentioned to allow PMCFs to be used within smart lists, and to used to create reports. It would also be great if the individual PMCFs were visible outside of just the Program Members tab - in particular, as a field visible in smart list subscriptions that can be downloaded with reports. Currently its very manual to review what's captured in the PMCF and update it on external reporting. 

At present, the user-defined campaign execution priority is only visible at the campaign level in the schedule tab, it'd be great if we could see the list of campaigns that have their execution priority overridden by the Marketo user along with the default/original and the overridden priority at one place, probably the best place to add this could be the campaign inspector within the Marketing Activities.
