Hi Marketo Community,   I am quite new to Marketo, so sorry if I'm asking for something that was already discussed but I tried to find in old discussion and found nothing.    I created a form in Marketo, One field is collecting a predefined "Code". Let's assume the Predefined code is "AB-BC-CDEF", I need to configure the form so if any one is informing a different code, it triggers a message "Wrong code".   I was told only possible with JS coding, I m seeking a bit of guidance as ... I don't know where to access the JC and what code to add.   Thank you all !!   BR

Hello there,so my question is one of a series related to improving our program performances, based on the various program membership touchpoints. If these have been already asked, please, forgive me. One of these is: how I can create a People Performance report (a pie chart in particular) grouping all the members of a certain program by Program Member Field? Practical example: we have a channel acquisition field, along with UTM Source, Medium, etc, and I like to see how many people are coming from Paid Search, Social, and so on.For sure I can export them in a CSV, but this seems a manual process..!   

All, it seems the best way to integrate Eventbrite with Marketo is to use Zapier.  However, I have concerns about duplicate records getting created.   Has anyone got any experience with this, and if so, can you talk to the issues you've had?   Cheers Jo

Hey! Has anybody written a marketo breakdown on the changes coming to how google and yahoo mark spam?    In the "Sender Reputation" section of this article they mention "IP" but I believe most marketo customers are on shared IPs. Does this mean others sends put us at risk of being cast into the black hole of google and yahoos spam filters?    Correct me if I am wrong but..."Starting February 1, 2024, if a bulk-sending organization has an abuse complaint rate of 0.3% or higher, Google and Yahoo will automatically block all messages coming from that organization."   would be a death sentence for many organizations' email programs if their targets use Gmail or Yahoo.    Google defines bulk senders as "senders who send more than 5,000 messages per day to Gmail accounts must meet the requirements in this section."Is this per day, or averaged across a period of time?    Same with the spam rate of .3%. Hi All, I have an integration where I want to update the Person record with an email address "abc@xyz.com" using an external ID. However, I am unable to identify if there are duplicate records that share the same email address. Is there any automation in Marketo that I can use to update the data of duplicate records with the values from the updated record?

Hey Team I am extracting Email Activities data from Marketo to Snowflake and the reports have 'Email Send', 'Email Delivered' and 'Email Open' Activities data mismatch.   Scenario is that when we download the Marketo Email Insight Report from Marketo tool, the 'Email Send',  'Email Delivered' and 'Email Open' Activities are more than the data reflecting in Snowflake. Example:   Marketo Email Insight Report: (Downloaded) Total Sent: 276062 Total Delivered: 271762 Opens: 58946   Report in Snowflake: (API Call) Total Sent: 186883 Total Delivered: 185750 Opens: 50662   The reports are not matching. Data is fetched through API calls and saved in Snowflake.

Now that Google has rolled out AMP for Email more broadly (see Dynamic email in Gmail launches on Android and iOS | VentureBeat ) I'm wondering when/if Marketo will add native support for dynamic or AMP-enabled emails within its platform? Is this on the roadmap?

Hi, I've been reading the board discussions and still don't quite understand how people are using global forms to track content for automation within Marketo. I understand I can rely on the Data Value Change, but I was hoping to have something that last longer than 90 days. I was exploring stamping Interesting Moments with a Content ID value that would be populated on the form, but how do I tokenize this new field? Or is there a better way entirely? 

Hi all, I noticed a discrepancy between the 'Clicked Email' column in Email Performance Report and  the 'People' column in Email Link Performance Report, my understanding is that the number in the 'People' column should be the same number as what's in the 'Clicked Email' column. Hi guys! I searched first in the Zapier community with no success... does anyone know what the "New Program" trigger means in the Marketo Zapier integration? There's a lead creation which makes sense, but this New Program trigger says when a new program is created which doesn't make sense... Could it be when a lead becomes a program member using the Change Program Status flow action?  

Hello,I've perused documentation and message board posts, but I cannot find what I think should be a remedial explanation of in what order the constraints are evaluated within filtering.  Is the order of the constraints the evaluation order used by Marketo to qualify records?I've got a Changed Data Value filter that looks at Source and then I want it to look at Date of Activity:Data Value Changed attribute IS Lead SourceSource IS NOT "List import" Activity IS in past 30 minutes. I'm reading this as anything that wasn't a list import in the last 30 minutes will qualify. But is that correct? Because I could see this also as anything in the last 30 minutes that wasn't a list import will qualify, which means in order to qualify, the data value change would have had to have happened within the past 30 minutes. I know I could probably run some tests to figure this out, but I appreciate any thoughts people might offer - or a link to documentation on the topic.&nb

My team is using Chili Piper to route and book meetings. We're having a hard time building Bizible reporting within Salesforce on meetings (booked, attended and no shows) specific to the Chili Piper integration as well as the SF Tasks/Opportunities created when a meeting is booked. Does anyone have any best practices or resources for this?

Hello! I have an interesting issue, i am running into this formatting issue where when i am forwarding a Marketo email.   The email template has a two-column article design (Image on the right and Copy on the left) for both - the desktop and the same is the design for the mobile 9instead of for mobile we usually have the image on the top and the copy in below). The image is showing up twice on both desktop and mobile when I forward or reply to from my Outlook desktop app.   Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Please share if anyone has a resolution. I am wondering why the tokens through API should be passed as POST x-www-form-urlencoded ONLY, and not as JSON. This brings many issues. One issue, among others, is when you encode the URL the "value" lenght must be short and nearly just plain text, not URL and/or HTML, otherwise you will pass the 2048 character limit that some services like Google has for URLFetch, leaving this end point nearly usless.I did try compressing the URL through gzip, shortening the URL thoroug few services, but the Marketo end point refuses to accept those, so the question is why , why not to accept a JSON payload?

Hi all! We currently handle events with the Marketo/Zoom integration, and I'd like to know if anyone knows of a way to get live real-time attendance data from the Zoom webinar. I'm looking to incorporate a "Trouble joining?" email to go out to the people who have not yet joined the webinar 10sh minutes after it has started but for that, I would need Zoom to provide me the list of no-shows DURING the event. I know there's an attendance report you can download, but it ONLY becomes available after the webinar has ended. Has anyone been able to make this work? I know you could technically see the participants' names in real-time, extract that, and then match names/email addresses from the registrants' list to identify those as the attendees to email the rest (non-attendees), but I would love an easier way to do it, if possible.  Thanks guys!

Hello, I'm trying to change the value of a field coming from an integration and appended via Custom Object and I wanted to turn it into a date field, as I would need to use the on or before/on or after criteria - but it's currently with the following format: YEAR/DAY_MONTH (example: 2023/01_08).   To do so, I thought to create a triggered smart campaign with a data change flow step that would call a velocity script token to change the format to ISO, and then add it to a custom field. I actually have hidden fields in Linkedin Lead Gen Form in mind, but they are not working yet as of now - Adding Hidden Fields to A Lead Generation Form | Marketing Solutions HelpIts very useful (if it works) for flow processing since the data from the hidden form can be used (supposedly) in Smart Lists - but they are not working as of now.I want to send the information of content downloaded (via Linkedin Lead Gen Form) to Marketo so I can process the Leads based on their downloaded contents. Wondering if anyone has thoughts on the Google Sender Guidelines posted that those sending to 5000 or more google accounts have to comply to by 2/1/2024. We are reviewing our email sends to ensure we are compliant to all of the requirements before then. One thing that has come up is the one click unsubscribe. Currently we have a subscription preference center, and are hesitant to use the one-click link broadly as we have seen email tester software scanning our emails and links which inflates email metrics as is. We don't want to add inaccurate unsubscribes to the mix as well. Marketo hasn't offered a solution or work around and states these google guidelines haven't came up yet. Curious if others are aware/can weigh in here if experiencing similar. 

I have an email that looks like this where we want "hello.world" hyperlinked (for example): Please go to the hello.world website to see the buyers guide. You can also check the hello.world website for the sellers guide. The 1st link should go to 1.com and the 2nd link should go to 2.com. However when I go to link the 2nd instance of "hello.world" it automatically shows the 1.com, but it should go to 2.com. If I change it, it changes both. They appear to be connected even though I want them to go to different links. How do I accomplish this?

Hi guys!I'm trying to get rid of a couple of emails that shouldn't receive my email, so I created an "exclusion smart list" with all records I want to exclude. Then I used that smart list as "person not in" and set my exclusion smart list.   If I check my exclusion smart list, I can see the records I want to exclude, I see test@test.com with the name Pedro. Then I checked the Qualified People of my campaign and I saw again test@test.com with the name Mike.   So yeah, I have test@test.com duplicated in the system with different data, but same email. So I want to exclude the email from my send, it is possible to do that?   This is just an example, but I have a couple of duplicated records and I need them to be excluded from the send.   Thanks!

We observed that when the Custom sync filter ( Account.Marketo_Sync_Required = false ) and the ( Contact.Marketo_Sync_Required = true ), updates made to the Contact object are still synced to the customer in Marketo. However, updates made to the Account record aren't synced to Marketo. Hi all,For the Marketo instance I inherited, I see there are field dependency rules set between Lead source and Lead source activity in Salesforce. This rule results in sync errors when the lead source and activity values don't match and gets difficult to debug. I wanted to know if this is common practice, and if yes what's the real benefit of doing this? I need to rework the dependencies as a lot of them do not make sense, but before I start that exercise wanted to check if it makes sense to have these rules setup in the first place.
