new TTL designations for AJO experience events

I see the new 13 month in lake and 90 days in profile store have been implemented across the AJO experience tracking dataset. How is unsubscribe being managed now? I’m seeing cases of where customers have opted out of a communication by clicking the unsubscribe link, being opted back in. the unsub is in the lake, but not in profile any more. What is Adobe doing to manage this? I’m seeing massive GDPR issues here, unless I’m hopefully mistaken

regards

Maec

it just the events so if your unsubscribe process is configured correctly the TTL changes should not impact. Only impact you may have is if you’re using the tracking data to build audiences…
The system-generated dataset data in the profile is dropped after 90 days, not the profiles themselves.  For example, audience segmentation or frequency capping based on events older than 90 days in the profile store will no longer be possible using system datasets.

    Thanks,

Hi David, thanks for the reply.

I’m not sure so really, becuase looking in the experience tracking datasets there are event types of unsubscribe that come from the one click opt outs, not via the landing page or external unsubsription / consent processes. These will, i’m sure be lost to profile when the 90 days are up, so effectively losing the non consent.

in my example we have the TTL aggresively set to 14 days for license reasons, and i can see customers with unsub event types having data in the lake to opt out of the email channel, but their profile says they are still opted in, which must mean that they have been excluded.

Unless I’ve configured something incorrectly, but just looking at the channek config, the consent level is set to channel and both mailto unsub and one click unsub url are active, which must be that data.

We adiditonally have the unsub landing pages in use, and those will also write to the AJO tracking dataset as unsubscriptiobns (as they dont update the actual profile dataset).

just rambling a bit now, but am slightly worried / confused

depending on how you configured your one click it can update the consent id specific instead.
