Listing of links in the email designer - shows to many links

After the latest AJO release in January 2026 we have experienced some strange changes in the email designer. There is a feature in the designer that lists out all the links used in the email, allowing you to change the links from the list directly without going into the different content block to do the same work. Nice feature.

In case we use fragments when creating emails. And in the fragments again we use variables to select your country and language. witch again decides what link that will appear based on your variable settings.

Now we see that this list is listing out absolutely all links in the code, also those that is not been shown/used based in the variable settings. This is really confusing for the end users, that get lots of links in the list they don’t know what is.

Can this be solved in an easy way, just showing the actual links that will appear in the email when it is sent.

This is consistent with how fragments and their links are handled in general—once a fragment is inserted into a message, any links inside it are treated like any other links in the email so unfortunately there isn’t a setting today that limits the link list to only the effective links that will be rendered at send time for a specific audience.

Thanks :-) Short and understandable answer. I will forward this to our end users.
