Language Translation in AJO

Hi Team,

I am working on translating my email templates using AJO inbuilt translation capability. RWS is our translation provider and the client has a contract with RWS which is platform agnostic contract and is based on the volume of translations.

I see in AJO translation provider UI, RWS is listed as one of the translation provider available and I have set up translation provider in AJO by choosing RWS from the list.

I would like to know whether the AJO - RWS integration is a native one or  is there any additional integration needed from AJO side to make use of RWS translator to get email templates translated to other languages. Any help would be greatly appreciated. @SatheeskannaK

Thanks in advance.

    Hey @DN1191

Third party integrations are not within the responsibilities/control of Adobe as highlighted below

Having said that, the multilingual content can be translated automatically in two ways (assuming the provider is already set and added). During the creation of translation project, you would be prompted to select one of the below options. By enabling second option, it is required that the content be reviewed before publishing.

And while creating this project, make sure to check whether your provider supports all of the target locale(s). And follow the steps mentioned in this documentation where the other necessary integration steps such as language settings and managing the translated content is explained in-depth. It is also worth mentioning that adobe doesn’t have a feature to validate the contract’s status, therefore ensure that you have an active contract in place. Hope this helps!

Thank you @IamCGK for the reply. I totally get your point. My question is around integrating with the translation provider. The provider is in the list of available translation providers. Apart from choosing the provider from the list and completing the ‘Add provider’ setup in AJO, is there anything we need to do to complete the integration with the provider ? I know after the provider is added, we need to create translation project and do the configs in Language settings. But my question is around integration between AJO and that specific provider. In this case I want to use RWS translation provider, but there are no explicit integration steps mentioned in the doc on how that connection between AJO and RWS works.

AJO mentions that there are no inbuilt integration available with translation providers, but at the same time there are no documentation/references for how we can complete this integration for the providers already available to choose from the list down in AJO.

Hey @DN1191 - Well, I see your question now. As per the documentation it appears that those are the only required steps to complete the integration for any provider except Microsoft Translator (as that requires credentials).

For other providers, like RWS or Lionbridge, there is no such details required at that step. It looks like that set of available providers are already registered as partners within AJO ecosystem as part of Globalization Content Service (where all the underlying event flows are setup between AJO and corresponding provider).

This is indicated in the below checkbox as well, where the content would be sent regardless of whether one has a valid account or not but receiving translation requires having one.

For new providers, it must be registered as a localization partner as per the steps mentioned in this documentation. Hope this helps!
