Is AJO totally incompatible for implementing AMP emails?

Hey, I am looking implementing AMP emails from AJO,
how every there is a block of creating the email in AMP syntax, i tried import HTML, it stucked at the step of "import your email", it shows
"{error: Error: Failed to execute 'setAttribute' on 'Element': '⚡4email' is not a valid attribute name." in the Console.
but that is the basic syntax required for AMP email.
I also tried other method of creating email, like "code your own", or save the code as fragment, then try to add it to the email. both failed again.
so is AJO totally incompatible for implementing AMP emails?
