Inquiry about IP Pools in Adobe

Hello everyone,

According to the documentation, it is mentioned that IP Pools can be created separately for Marketing and Transactional messages to avoid issues like spam or others. However, I would like to confirm if it is also recommended to create separate IP Pools for each sandbox.

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/journey-optimizer/using/configuration/delegate-subdomains/ip-pools

Are there any best practices or specific recommendations regarding the separation of IP Pools by sandbox, especially in environments managing multiple configurations and types of deliveries?

I appreciate your guidance in advance.

Best regards.

It is generally recommended not to share IP addresses between non prod and prod sandboxes while creating the IP pools. Therefore it is better to create separate ip pool for the respective sandbox.

Note - IP pool configuration is common to all environments

Hi @diegopa6,

It's a recommendation as you don't want the sender score impacted by one of your BU. Let's say you have 2 BUs, one is doing double optin and one is collecting email without verification. By using the same IPs on 2 sandboxes, you're increasing the deliverability issues for all your BUs while only one is really relax with the data collection.

You can go over Adobe deliverability best practices

hope it helps.

Thanks,

David
