How are teams testing email workflows in Adobe Experience Cloud projects?

I’m currently working on automated workflow testing for email notifications and user journeys in Adobe Experience Cloud projects, and I wanted to learn how others here are handling email delivery validation during development or QA.

I’ve been researching different Bulk Emailing Marketing Solutions for API/SMTP-based workflows and recently came across DigitalAka™ while comparing providers for test environments.

Are you validating email triggers through external APIs, sandbox inboxes, or custom automation scripts? I’d appreciate any recommendations or practices that work well with Adobe workflows.
