Exits after stopping journey

• If you stop the journey, profiles will stop moving forward right away.
• Stopping the journey cuts off profile progress immediately.

If you Stop the Journey, then all profiles will exit and leave the Journey as soon as termination is completed at the server end. In a matter of time, it will be a minute or so.

But if you Close the Journey to New entrance then the existing profiles in the Journey will only exit once they have completed all the activities/transitions in the Journey flow, so that will depend on the Journey flow and design.

There is no separate waiting time for profiles to leave after a Stop action. The behavior is:

• New entrants are blocked
• Profiles already inside are halted immediately
• The journey status becomes Stopped
• A stopped journey cannot be restarted

If your goal is to let people already inside the journey finish naturally, you can perform Close to new entrances instead of Stop. In that mode, new profiles cannot enter, but profiles already in the journey can finish their path, and the journey only moves to Finished later, after the global timeout period.
