Custom Data in Push notification

Hi all,

We store critical information related to the push notification in Custom Data. Wondering where can we find this information in a dataset?

Thanks.

@akwankl I ran this past the AJO Support team but please keep in mind I'm only relaying some answers, you may have to raise a Support ticket with them to provide full context:

The info that is sent with the push notification is generated at runtime and not stored, much like if we sent some custom values with an email we wouldn't necessarily have that info stored against the profile, it is just pulled together at runtime of journey.

You may be treating this custom data like a record against the profile. Should you want that info stored against profiles then you could do an 'update profile' action and it would be saved in the attributes

Hope this helps a bit but as I mentioned feel free to raise a case with the Support team to continue the discussion in more depth 🙂

Hi @tof_jossic

Thanks for asking. I actually found the custom data in the ajo_entity_dataset

@akwankl Wait for others to chime in but in case that helps, there is a system-created dataset named 'Push Tracking Experience Event' which [...] informs on actions performed by the end-user on push notifications

See https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/journey-optimizer/using/data-management/datasets/get-started-datasets#access-datasets

@2375632, I tried looking for it in that dataset, but the customData doesn't show up in there 😞
