Hi Team,

Can anyone please let me know who creates/owns the mail boxes for From and Error email addresses in AJO Channel surface config when the subdomain for this channel surface is CNAME delegated instead of full delegation ? @SatheeskannaK

@DN1191 Regardless of whether CNAME or full delegation is used, the customer/client will maintain ownership and management of all header parameters including 'from' and 'error' email addresses.

@SatheeskannaK For some accounts where full delegation was done, client never created the mailboxes for ‘from’ and ‘error’ email, but this never had a problem in sending out the email and we were able to build great reputation.

@DN1191 Are you saying from/error address has to be valid inbox? No.

Usually physical mailboxes are generally not required for the 'From' and 'Error' email addresses, as they function primarily as technical identifiers for delivery and automated processing.

'From' Email Address
- The "From" address is a display parameter and does not necessitate a physical mailbox.
- To receive actual customer responses, you must define a separate Reply to address. If a "Reply to" address is not specified, responses may be directed to the "From" address, which would then require a monitored inbox.
'Error' Email Address
- AJO automatically manages the "Error" email prefix, processing technical feedback without the need for a physical mailbox. This feedback includes,
  - Bounce information.
  - Out-of-office notifications.
  - Challenge responses.
The "Error" email address must utilize a delegated subdomain that has already been configured within AJO.
