Can't Stop a Paused Journey in AJO? Permission vs. API Fixes

I’m trying to permanently Stop a journey that is currently in a Paused state, as we have no intention of resuming it. However, the 'Stop' button is disabled/greyed out in the UI.

Is this a permissions issue (e.g., lacking some permission as I have publishing rights), or does the system require a journey to be Live before it can be stopped? Additionally, is it possible to force a termination via the AJO API?

@Sam_AEP It’s not a permission issue. To stop a journey that is currently paused, you must first resume it. A journey cannot be directly stopped from a paused state.

Is the resume - stop thing enforce at the service layer or is it only a UI constraint. asking if I can use API to enforce the termination of journey from Pause status

@Sam_AEP There’s no API available to change the journey statuses. It has to be done on the UI.
