A Alias instead of CNAME

hi team, a client is using the CNAME delegation for creating a subdomain. They've pasted all DNS records in their hosting solution but when they want to paste this AJO record: CNAME , notificaciones.aaa.ar , notificaciones.aaa.ar.cname.cjm.adobe.com in their hosting solution, the client is currently adding it as an A Alias because their hosting provider requires an initial alias to configure a CNAME (like data. ; _dmarc. ; cdn , etc.) , and notificaciones.aaa.ar doesn't have one.

That's why they're using an A Alias.
But AJO is not finding the CNAME record desired ( notificaciones.aaa.ar ) and we're not able to create the subdomain.Has anyone faced this before? We're in a hurry as we need to start our email campaigns.

Thanks.

Hi @silvio6 ,

Which hosting provider are you using? I will suggest to search in their documentation how to add a cname.

Usually you have to create the subdomain first notificaciones.aaa.ar on your hosting side and notificaciones is the alias of your parent domain aaa.ar

Once you get the DNS records from AJO then you can add using notificaciones as alias , name as notificaciones.aaa.ar and target will be notificaciones.aaa.ar.cname.cjm.adobe.com

It's the common setup but maybe your hosting provider is doing it differently.

Thanks,

David
