Streamig a file to AEP

Is it possible to use the streaming API to send a file containing thousands of records to AEP instead of sending one record at a time. Our requirement is to send a whole bunch of data from the third party system to AEP and want to access the data real time. With batch ingestion we have to wait minimum of 15 mins for the scheduled batch plus it takes some time to process the data.
