Schema relationship in CJA?

Hi,

My project is on CJA, and we need to add some lookup dataset for additional attributes. I've added the lookup dataset to the CJA Connection, and also tried using Derived Fields - both worked fine. But recently I've came across the feature on Schema Relationship, which is also providng lookup capability, but would need to seek clarification on whether Schema Realsionhip is applicable to RT-CDP only? Or this relationship will automatically applied to CJA as well?

Thanks.

Schema relationships are primarily designed for Adobe Real-Time Customer Data Platform (RT-CDP) to manage and structure data  using the Experience Data Model (XDM).

On the other end,  Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), schema Data Set from RT-CDP, including schema relationships, these relationships can be integrated into CJA for analysis if data ingested and conforms to XDM,

One benefit of this approach could be CJA can leverage the schema relationships to provide a unified view of customer journeys, with deeper insights and  analytics.

Hi @josh1975 My interpretation on your question is that CJA doesn't inherit the schema relationships as CJA relies on dataset joins within the CJA connection or derived fields for enriching the data. If your goal is to add the additional attribute on CJA report then your approach is a correct method. Schema relationship will not automatically impact the CJA unless we configured it explicitly through dataset joins as you mentioned. p

Thank you,
