References to Data Elements in Adobe Launch

When I click into a data element, is it possible to get a list of all rules or other data elements that reference it?

This way, I can ensure there is no duplicated effort of data elements and the number of data elements are not more than once.

This also helps to get rid of data elements that are not used any more.

Will add a few thoughts regarding this valuable idea:

  • When a Data Element is opened, there should be a list of all Rules where it's referenced. The algorithm behind this should necessarily take into account where the DE is referenced in the custom code regardless of the extension(s), core components, etc.
  • The list of Rules should be designed as links to directly click-through the rule
  • It would be great to see a tooltip with a list of Rule components (e.g. Action Name XYZ, Condition ABC) where the DE is referenced
  • It would be helpful if the Create/Edit Rule page contained an info block that lists all DE referenced in it.
  • The DE list should has an indicator displaying the DE is referenced or not referenced at all
