Do you pass these Identifiers into Identity Map?

Not just by the device id, but you can also identify when a user is accessing your app from multiple devices. Along with the Device ID, you need to pass either the Email ID or CRM ID. 

For the Cross-device identification, you can pass either the ECID or the Device ID, both work. However, using only the CRM ID or Email ID won't confirm whether the user is accessing from multiple devices. To identify this you need to pass ECID or Device ID. As mentioned, it depends on your requirement.

Hi @Michael_Soprano,

It totally depends on your requirement. If you need to identify a customer across multiple devices, you can pass these identifiers into the identity Map. This will enable the cross-device identification.

    Device 1: GAID - XYZ1

    Device 2: GAID - XYZ2

     

    Cross device identification is done by email/CrmID not by device id? Do I miss something?
