Meta CAPI – HTTP 400 Errors in AEP Event Forwarding | Extension Version & API Compatibility Review

Hi Adobe Support Team,

As part of our investigation into the Meta Conversions API implementation in AEP Event Forwarding, we noticed that an upgrade is currently available for the Meta Conversions API extension.

At the same time, we are performing an RCA for HTTP 400 responses observed through AEP Event Forwarding Error Insights. The failures are occurring when requests are sent to the Meta Graph API endpoint configured with v24.0.

At this stage, we have not confirmed whether these errors are related to the Meta Conversions API extension version, API compatibility, payload validation, credentials, permissions, or another endpoint-level validation issue.

Before proceeding with the available extension upgrade, could you please review and advise on the following:

  • Whether Adobe recommends upgrading the Meta Conversions API extension to the currently available version.
  • What is the latest/recommended supported version of the extension?
  • Could the currently installed extension version have any compatibility considerations that may contribute to the HTTP 400 responses we are observing?
  • Are there any additional configuration or payload validations you recommend as part of our RCA?

Adobe's documentation confirms that the Meta Conversions API extension is used with AEP Event Forwarding to send server-side event data to Meta.

Could you please confirm on this?

Best Regards,

Ramadevi (Rama)
