Getting Dramatically Different Unique Visitor and Visitor Numbers in AA compared to CJA!

We are migrating sites over to SDK/CJA. We are only pulling in web data and running both until we feel comfortable with the number and don't see any major differences. I ran into an issue on one site where the numbers seem extremely off:

AA:   212 PVs, 27 Visits, 2 Unique Visitors

CJA: 212 PVs, 89 Sessions, 83 People

The A.A. numbers seem to be the ones that are off. How do I investigate this issue? Haven't had this issue before on any other sites I've migrated.

Thanks!

Hi @michaeljo13

tbh, I guess your best bet is contact support about this. Maybe they investigate the issue in more detail.

Will surely be interesting to share the solution to this problem here, if you may?

Hi @michaeljo13

can you describe your setup a little more, to get a clearer picture?

Hi,

In Data Collection we have the old set variable and send beacon actions, and we added update variable and send event after the legacy implementation. We do have cookie consent implemented but it is implemented for both. I've migrated 15 sites already and this is the first one where I've seen this happen.

Thanks!
