Evaluation job vs Export job

What’s the reason of considering evaluation job in some scenarios if the usable fresh data will be after the export job?

    Hi ​@Silvio6 - could you potentially give some more context here? The evaluation job is needed to refresh the size of the audience counts day over day.

    Hi! for example, trigger after batch evaluation and Incremental read are seeing updates in evaluation job and not in export job. So if a journey is scheduled between evaluation and export job times, journey will be triggered with data of yesterday’s export job, not updated.

     

    Evaluation job: Finishes 10AM

    Journey triggered 10:30 AM

    Export job: Finished 11 AM

     

    The journey needs the export job updated, not the evaluation job times.

    Hi ​@Silvio6 ,

    The reason is simple. AJO's Read Audience activity for batch audiences does not read directly from the live Profile store during batch execution—it reads from the profile snapshot export dataset.

    Best Practice : ​Align Journey Trigger to Post-Export Completion: In AJO schedule settings, use "Trigger after batch audience evaluation" carefully. Ensure downstream schedules allow enough buffer for the subsequent export job to transition to COMPLETED before triggering recurring reads.
