Disabling demdex network calls - Adobe Web SDK / Adobe Tags

Currently within our Adobe Tags - Adobe WEB SDK configuration we have disabled:

  • ID Migration
  • Third Party Cookies
  • Audiences
This component supports Audience Manager integration including running URL and cookie destination and id syncs.

Can someone help me to understand how we can ensure that this network call is no longer being triggered

Thanks,
Ty

Confirming that this was resolved, we found that the cause of the Demdex calls was as a result of Experience Cloud ID Service extension being used in the build.

We leveraged this extension so that the ECID could be created as a data element and passed in our Adobe client side payload. However it was noted by Adobe that demdex calls are expected if Experience Cloud ID Service extension is being used.

Is this something that Adobe is looking to resolve?

Thanks,

Ty

Hi @tyrese,

Thanks for sharing the update! Since this behavior is expected when using the Experience Cloud ID Service extension, I’d recommend logging this as an idea in the AEP Community. That way, it can be tracked as a feature request and considered by the product team for future enhancements.
