AEP Streaming Segment behaviour

Hi,
If there is a streaming segment created with ONLY PORFILE ATTRIBUTE 
profile.firstname=’ABC’, and it has STREAMING INGESTION, and the schema and dataset are of class XDMPROFILE.
Merge policy = ‘active-on-edge’ enabled

Now how will this segment behave?
First run? - what could be the evaluation method
Next runs? - what could be the evaluation method

This behaviour changed recently. 

All existing segment definitions that are currently evaluated using streaming or edge segmentation will continue to work as is, unless edited or updated. As soon you update or edit this segment, a modal will appear to inform you that it will be saved as batch. 

A segment definition will not be eligible for streaming segmentation in the following scenarios:

  • The segment definition only includes profile attributes.

But as long you ingest the profile attribute using streaming ingestion, you should be fine.
