AEP S3 Redundancy Behavior in Case of Regional Outage

Hi Team,

We’re currently placing the file in the S3 bucket located in the US East region. In the event of an outage in the East region, will Adobe automatically pick up the file from a mirrored S3 bucket in the West region (assuming it's configured)?

Just trying to confirm if Adobe has any built-in failover or redundancy mechanisms for S3 file ingestion across regions.

Thanks in advance!

Indra

@indra_kumar_reddyma Adobe Experience Platform's Amazon S3 Source connection is set up to work with a specific bucket and path, and it doesn't have a built-in mechanism for switching to a different region if there's an outage. To ensure your data flow is undisrupted during outage it is better to setup a separate dataflow for the same Schema and Dataflow from different region S3 buckets/sources you wish to maintain the fail-over redundancy. This is not a system redundancy but you are build separate flows for your flows to work resilient from different regions when there is outage or any other issue. At dataset level you might get data duplication but this is the only way to maintain resilience.
