AEP CJA Data View Creation Getting Undefined "External ID"

Hi,

I was creating a data view in Customer Journey Analytics and I got an "undefined" value in the "External ID" field. Where does that value come from and how do I debug it? Also how is this field leveraged?

Please find below information.

External ID Definition:

  • External ID is a required field used for identifying the data view when integrating with external tools like business intelligence (BI) platforms.
  • Default Behavior: If an External ID is not explicitly specified during data view creation, CJA will automatically generate one based on the Name of the data view. It will convert the name by replacing any spaces with underscores.

In short, if you do not have any external connation, you can leave it as undefined.
