Adobe Tags - Web SDK v2.29.1

We are currently leveraging the Adobe Web SDK through Adobe Tags, and we noticed a reminder to update the Adobe Web SDK from version 2.29.0 to 2.29.1.

However, I referred to the Adobe Web SDK version release notes and was unable to see the release notes for v2.29.1 - can someone help me understand if this update is required? https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-platform/web-sdk/release-notes

Is the Adobe SDK deployed through Adobe Tags different to the standard client-side tag? The versions do not match.

Thanks,

Ty

@tyrese Yes! the Adobe SDK deployed through Adobe Tags (Adobe Experience Platform Web SDK tag extension) version is different to the standard client-side tag (Adobe Experience Platform Web SDK) version? Yes! as both are different methods of deployments, I don't expect the versions to match.

Web SDK extension update notification release notes should be here However, I do not see the page is updated yet.

It is recommended to keep the extension to the latest, though I'd wait for release notes to be available to compare. Sometime the latest version is solving critical issue and must be updated ASAP.

Correction, here is the correct SDK extension release notes: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-platform/tags/extensions/client/web-sdk/web-sdk-ext-release-notes

I cannot see v2.29.1

Thanks,

Ty

Hey Asheeh,

Thanks for the quick reply and I agree that we should be updating to the latest version and that we should wait for release notes so that we can understand what we are updating.

Any idea when the page will be updated?

Thanks,
Ty

HI @tyrese ,

Typically it should be safe and best practice to upgrade as soon as possible, but since this is just a minor change, I would likely wait with the upgrade until the release notes are out.

Cheers from Switzerland!
