Activate Adobe Experience Platform audience to Adobe Campaign v8

Regarding the process of transferring audiences/segments created in Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) to Adobe Campaign v8, what are the differences between the following methods?

  1. "Activate audiences from the Browse page" explained on the Activation Overview page of the Experience Platform site.
  2. "Activate Adobe Experience Platform segments to your destinations using Amazon S3 connection type" video in the Campaign Tutorial > Integration with Experience Platform section on Experience League.
  3. "Send Adobe Experience Platform audiences to Campaign" and "Sync profile attributes between Adobe Experience Platform and Adobe Campaign" described in the Campaign v8 Documentation section on Experience League.

Can activation be completed using just one of these methods, or does the choice depend on the system environment? Alternatively, do these methods need to be used together for full activation?

Hi @inaki2  - There are different ways that platform allows us to activate the audiences. i.e. catalog section (if you have already configured the destination), browse section, Audience browse section. It is completely depends on how you wanna activate the audience.

Like, activating the audience from catalog section directly take you to the specific destination, activating from audience browse section will ask you to select the respective destination.
So, overall platform provides the leverage of activating the audiences from different ways. Second point from your question - Again to connect adobe campaign to integrate AEP audience attribute, S3 is one of the connection type to configure the campaign. So you need to check and select connection type accordingly based on your integration.

"Send Adobe Experience Platform audiences to Campaign" and "Sync profile attributes between Adobe Experience Platform and Adobe Campaign" described in the Campaign v8 Documentation section on Experience League. - Once the profiles have been activated it will sync up with existing campaign attribute data to enrich and give more insights about the about the specific profile.

You don't need to use all these method together to activate the adobe campaign. Just select one connection type and configure the attributes to campaign from AEP.

I hope this finds you well.

Thank you,

Piggybacking on the original question:

1. When data is sent to AC, is it pretty much stored as a List? Based on the screenshot in this documentation, it looks like a list, but asking for confirmation: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/campaign/campaign-v8/connect/ac-aep/ac-aep

2. Does the audience export support array, meaning one-to-many?
