Workflow to publish pages and nt unstructured nodes

Hi There ,

 I'm building a process step to be part of a workflow in which based on the pay load path , I need to active its peers and also some nt unstructured nodes pragmatically . I'm trying to use using Replicator  to achieve it .  

public abstract void replicate(Session paramSession, ReplicationActionType paramReplicationActionType, String paramString) . 

 My question is Am I using the best utility to achieve this use case  ? Also for nt unstructured nodes , if I give the path of the parent , will it automatically activate all its child nodes or do I need to loop and activate each node ?

I could have tried it myself as a PoC but have severe time constraints and though some one would have already tried it here .
