Why is a custom Campaign page opening in classic ui mode?

Hello all,

I created a Campaign page, under /content/campaigns/, with a custom template. Now when I try to open that page, it opens in classic ui mode. However, if I use the same custom template to create a page under let's say, /content/, where the template is allowed, the page opens in touch ui mode.

Does anybody have some idea as to why this is happening?

I can reproduce the same issue on 6.4.4 and 6.5 even if the default editing mode is set to TOUCH UI.So, looks like this is working as designed. Please log a daycare ticket and We can further debug the issue.
