What an ideal MCP server for AEM should look like ?

Hello AEM Community,

I have seen multiple attempts for creating the MCP (Model Context Protocol) Server that can talk to local AEM SDK instance. The idea sounds very promising and should definitely help especially to read AEM content, advanced report generation etc. The ones I came across look like one to one wrapper on top of existing AEM API. Is anyone else trying to creating an MCP server and what do you think it should look like ?

Hi @narendragandhi ,

I recently saw an example of AEM MCP server implementation: https://github.com/indrasishbanerjee/aem-mcp-server/tree/main

You can take a look it. However, I have to say that it works only with local AEM and AEM on-prem.

Having something just for local might also be a good start. Recommend any use case where this could benefit ?

Thanks @arunpatidar . Yes that one looks promising, somehow I am not able to configure it with Claude Desktop. Have you tried this yet ?

Thanks
Narendra
