How to store data in AEM JCR and access it?

Prefer to use Resource API which are closer to Sling like:

These would assure that when you Create/update a Page/Asset, a proper structure is present. You can also then set the metadata/properties using those API.

You can store data in AEM using JCR Node API and Access using withs are or other supported APIs
