Smart Crop not working Dynamic media Image v2

Question

Hi all,In Image component v2 dynamic media smart crop is not working with any rendition in AEMaaCS.AUTO or a custom one. After checking renditions image is not visible.After selecting :-Image presets are working fine. Any suggestions will be helpfulThanks in advance.

Please use the V3 Image Component and ensure you're using the latest compatible Core Components Versions [1].

Also :
> Within Page Policy add the "core.wcm.components.image.v3" clientlibs.
> Within Template, for Image (Core Component) - select policy – and check "Enable DM Feature".

Hi @lone_ranger ,Try below steps:1. Confirm Dynamic Media is Enabled and WorkingEnsure: - Dynamic Media is enabled. - The asset is published to Dynamic Media. - In CRXDE, the asset should have:/jcr:content/metadata/dam:scene7Fileand/jcr:content/renditions/dynamicmedia2. Image Component Configuration - Drag and drop Image (v2) component. - In Edit mode, under Metadata tab: - Preset Type: Smart Crop - Rendition: Use Auto or any valid smart crop. - Ensure the asset used is Dynamic Media-enabled.3. Check if Smart Crop Renditions ExistIn AEM: - Go to the Assets Console → Open the image. - Under Smart Crop View, check if crops are generated.If not: - Use the “Smart Crop” option in the asset UI to generate renditions. - Publish the asset again after Smart Crop is added.4. Template Policy ConfigurationGo to:/conf//settings/wcm/policies//image-v2Ensure:{ "cq:policy": { "features": [ "smartCrop", "dynamicMedia" ], "components": [ "core/wcm/components/image/v2/image" ] }}5. Dispatcher/CDN Caching IssueSometimes Smart Crop URLs are not rendered properly due to caching issues: - Try appending ?v=2 or ?cache_buster=timestamp to bypass CDN. - Or temporarily disable caching to test.6. Smart Crop URL VerificationCheck the HTML output or network tab in browser: - The tag src should point to a Dynamic Media URL like: https:///is/image/?cropParamsIf it's blank or broken, Smart Crop rendition is missing or not linked properly.7. Reprocess the Asset (if needed)If nothing works: - Unpublish the image from Dynamic Media. - Reupload and reprocess it. - Apply Smart Crop manually again. - Republish.VerificationOnce all is set: - Select Smart Crop + Auto in the image config. - The image should render via a DM URL, cropped accordingly.Regards,Amit
