resourceType of extended Social component

We're on 6.1 with all current hotfixes (except SP1) and feature packs.

When I follow the tutorial to extend the comments / comment components, the resourceType that is created is of the original component, not the new one.

My understanding is that if you registerComponent of your new component as both the model and the view this would correctly set the POSTed resourceType, but this is obviously wrong.

What am I missing? What do I need to do?

Hi Chris,

You need to be more specific.  What resourceType are you seeing?

You're referring to Register the SCF Model & View, which sets the model/view to the custom comment - why is this obviously wrong?
