replicate content on different folder?

We have a use case where i need to replicate asset from /content/dam/abc of author instance to /content/dam/xyz of publish instance. is there any ootb configuration by which we can map content  folder on different environment for replication? or i need to write custom code for the publish instance to copy asset to xyz folder from abc folder and then delete abc folder.
