Query Index not indexing Sharepoint folder specific published pages in EDS

Hey experts,

I am using EDS (Document based authoring) approach to build a website for a client. The following is the structure I have for my site:
- /

- - en
--- us
--- uk

I have two query-index.xlsx sheet set up, one in en/us and one in en/uk. I have not defined a custom index (no helix-query.yaml file setup).

Before, I was able to publish pages within en/us and they would show up in the query-index, and the same for en/uk. However, they don't show up anymore. What could be the issue? How do I debug it? It is crucial that the query-indexes work perfectly as they are an important piece of the experience.

If you haven't added a custom helix-query.yaml in your repository, indexing should work as expected.

Please refer to AEM Indexing Guide and ensure that all required properties are included in the first row of your query-index.xlsx file.

Hey @narendiran_ravi

I have now actually defined custom helix-query.yaml file. I added it to my main branch.

However I am noticing two things, which tells me this custom indexing is NOT working:

1. I have added an exclude path, yet when I publish within this excluded path, it get's indexed, even though it shouldn't according to my `yaml`
2. I have created a new folder section and added a `query-index.xlsx`, however it is not defined as a target, yet it indexes the pages in it.

How do I ensure and check my custom index definition (`helix-query.yaml`) is indeed working.

Thanks, this is a priority since our website relies heavily on indexing.
