Publish acting as Author

I have a new publish instance (aem-publish-4503.jar) installed based on the adobe instructions. The start script shows port 4503 and runmode=publish.

When I use the browser to open the URL, it shows the login page and the pages show up with sidekick etc

However during initial start process I see the following in logs:

16.12.2013 14:11:19.753 *INFO* [FelixStartLevel] org.apache.sling.settings.impl.SlingSettingsServiceImpl Active run modes: [author, crx2, nosamplecontent, crx3mongo]

How should I change the instance back to publish mode ?

How did you installed publish instance ?  Rename the jar to include p example  "aem-publish-p4503.jar" & then reinstall.
