Problem in Apache Sling Logging Writer Configuration to restrict the number of log files.

Question

Hi ,We need to restrict the number of  history.log files to only 10. For this we configured the Apache Sling Logging Writer Configuration with parameters as shown below : Log File : logs/history.logNumber of Log Files : 10Log File Threshold :   { "'.'yyyy-MM-dd" (daily log rotation)}Issue : history.log files are created based on date but logs folder contains more than 10 files.As per my understanding it is the OOTB but its also not working on vanilla AEM 5.6 version.Please suggest if we are missing something. Thanks In Advance,/RK

if you are seeing more than 10 files, please raise a support ticket and have a look at it.

Yes, log files are created based on dates.

but the number of log files are not restricted to the size we mentioned in number.

Also its written as note that the file number parameter will be ignored if we give the threshold value in terms of date and time. Kindly pour in your suggestion.
