Hello Everyone,

Wanted to check the right way of creating the package to include user( or usergroup or system user) and related permission to install in higher environment in AEM 6.5 environment.

I was checking this very old article.

https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/adobe-experience-manager/how-to-package-systemuser-and-it-s-permission-in-aem-6-3/m-p/247639#:~:text=Rather%20just%20add%20the%20username,content%20node%20to%20the%20user.

Thanks

Hi @mahesh_gunaje,

Yes, the approach described in the article you referring to is still valid. UI of ACL Packager change a bit in the meantime, but the tool itself is still proper option for creating package with users/groups and permissions to transfer it between environments.

Summarizing ACL Packager from ACS Commons is a way to go to achieve your goal.

@mahesh_gunaje Normal user group we can migrate using ACS commons

System User should be coming through code using repo initializer
