"New Page " Option disabled

Hi ,

In our project we will use classic url of AEM to  create the web-pages( url http://localhost:4502/siteadmin#/content).  Only some times we are facing this issue while creating "New Pages".  Some times "New Page" option under "New " is Getting disabled. We are not sure the reason.Not only "New Page" all options under "New" are getting disabeld. This really troubling a lot. Why because after creating some pages if this issues arises we do not have way to create extra pages. Only workaround is delete already created pages and create the all pages again. Any Help/Suggestions in this really appreciated. We are using AEM  5.6.1 version.

have you checked the existing child page nodes with crx/de/ ? i've seen this behaviour when the jcr:content node was missing for one of the child pages (maybe due to importing content with not existing parent nodes).

if this is the root cause of your problem i think Adobe has a hotfix for 5.6.1 solving this issue.

Is it disabling at all levels of your pages ? 

For example go to geometrixx and test there. If its is working fine (1), If not working check permissions.

1. Enable Firebug In firefox , Go to Site admin (http://localhost:4502/siteadmin)

   -> Select Content hierarchy where that issue is repeating

  -> Check firebug any issues are displyaing like attached screenshot ?
