New Asset Mapping doesn't allow choosing component in dropdown

I'm working on creating a new component and am trying to add it to the policy, but when I add it, I'm prompted to complete "New Asset Mapping", but it doesn't allow me to "Choose a component". Nothing happens when clicking on the dropdown. Has anyone experienced this?

Hi!

Try adding a cq:dropTargets node to the cq:editConfig node of your component. You could use the Image Core Component as a reference: https://github.com/adobe/aem-core-wcm-components/blob/main/content/src/content/jcr_root/apps/core/wcm/components/image/v3/image/_cq_editConfig.xml
