mailto: fails due to AppMeasurement on an iPhone device

This issue happens only in iOS, if you are using a desktop or Android device you wouldn’t see an issue with opening the email client. The error is displayed in a popup in iOS Safari: “This website has been blocked from automatically composing an email” with the user being given option to allow or block

Are there any known resolutions to this?
