How did you conclude the zip is not being published to Scene7? Are you able to access the Adobe Dynamic Media Classic Desktop Application to validate that the assets are not there? Also can you share how you are attempting to publish the ZIP files?

According to the documentation it seems ZIP format is supported: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/dynamic-media-classic/using/upload-publish/uploading-files.html?lang=en#supported-static-file-formats
