so we're making an app that should be in three languages. The language settings on the device should decide which version to download from App Store/Google Play. Is that somehow possible?

I'm not aware of a way to do per-language downloads from a store. I believe both stores will let you set what region an app is available in, and what language is supported, but I don't believe you can restrict the availability based on language of the device.
